“Sparrows 101” Wimberley Birding Society
February 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
The next meeting of the Wimberley Birding Society will be on February 21, 10:00 am, through Zoom. Our own Jesse Huth will be presenting “Sparrows 101.” Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a link to the meeting.
Jesse has been a member of Wimberley Birding Society since he was a young boy. His interest in poultry and birding led to a Master’s degree from Texas A&M in Poultry Science.
Popular for his presentations on poultry and birding, he also does bird surveys for wildlife land management and guides trips locally and internationally for Partnership for International Birding. He also arranges custom trips through his own Huth Avian Services. Several of us have been fortunate to have been on Jesse’s tours or have joined him on his monthly First Tuesday Bird Walks.
Jesse’s presentation will be “Sparrows 101.” He will be discussing all the sparrows you commonly see this winter, how to identify them, and how to distinguish them from other sparrow “look-alikes”. Hopefully you will have a newfound appreciation for those “little brown birds” that visit your feeders and inhabit the countryside.
