Jacob’s Well Groundwater Management Zone Proposal

A group of stakeholders has invested 9 months meeting on ways to protect our local water. They’ve inquired, debated, listened and landed on a proposal for a new Jacob’s Well Groundwater Management Zone (JWGMZ).

The purpose of the meeting is to cover the scientific-technical perspective behind their seven recommendations. Public forums for input will happen in August and September.

Attend and hear about this work and the resulting proposal to the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District for establishing the Jacob’s Well Groundwater Management Zone (JWGMZ). The purpose of JWGMZ is to protect the water from Jacob’s Well that supplies Cypress Creek and our local springs. In other words, to protect our local water supply.
