Primitive Instincts Youth Nature Program is a unique and community-oriented nature program located on 11.5 acres in Wimberley. For youth (ages 5-10) throughout the school year, we offer both weekly and monthly outdoor nature programs, in rain or shine. We offer a tremendously enriching curriculum, where children will be treated with independent capability, respect, and love. Kids will have immersive, exciting, and fun experiences learning outside about earth sciences, as well as primitive, survival, awareness, and outdoor skills. There is a research room for the kids to take their questions to and to record their discoveries, where books, field guides, and tools will be available to them.

In addition to the youth courses, Primitive Instincts YNP will be hosting events for adults and the whole family. Events include Camping 101, Community Camp Out, Snake Demos, Night Hikes, Plant Walks, and Acorn Flour Processing. There will be more events added to our calendar, so make sure to check out our website often and follow our Facebook page.

“Planting Passions” is our slogan as well as our mission. All the programs and events at Primitive Instincts YNP will be motivated by Passion- Based Learning, where we build relationships to focus on the student’s passions along with creating passions within the students. Furthermore, all programs and events will be taught by passionate, skilled, and knowledgeable instructors, such as Ms. Cat, the owner and Executive Director of Primitive Instincts YNP. During times where there is more disconnection to our environment rather than deep connections to nature, it is vital to find the links that bond us to the natural world. We want you and your family to grow their passions with us and grow a stronger relationship with nature!
