Civilian Training on Active Shooter Events
The Hays County Sheriff’s office is hosting 3 events throughout the county in the upcoming month. The presentation is in response to the Sutherland Springs Church Shooting and how civilians can respond to an active shooter event which is called CRASE. Crase is Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event. The sheriff’s office has teamed up with Cypress Creek Church to host this event February 1, 2018 at 6-8 pm. This program will help citizens, local business and places of worship have better guidance and training should an active shooter event occur.
CRASE presentations will also be held:
January 30, 6-8 pm at McCormick Middle School, 5700 Darcy Lane in Buda
February 5, 6-8pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1906 N IH 35 Frontage Rd in San Marcos
